Threat Level: Midnight

When you drive as much as I do, you have lots of time to think about things. All sorts of things.

For instance, If I were able to go back to the start of this mission, instead of listening to music, or audio books (which is about 90% of my time behind the wheel) & listened to educational audio books teaching other languages, even if it took 2 years each language, I’d be speaking, or at the very least, be able to get by on 5 other languages. Which would look impressive on any resume. I’m married to an awesome Hispanic woman, who’s probably a smidgen whiter than I am, but she still speaks Spanish & all I know are insults and how to ask where the bathroom is… Sad.

Instead, I know exactly what I’d do if I suddenly woke up with super powers, won the lottery, could go back & do it all again with the knowledge I have now. All very important you might say, true, but the odds aren’t so good that I’ll ever need any or this information. But at least I’ll be prepared.

Turns out, not all the day dreaming has been a waste of time. There are some projects that have been bouncing around in my head for quite some time. Until recently, I was unsure if I’d ever have a chance to pursue any of these projects. But now that I’m working part time (sometimes) it turns out that I might be able to scratch one of these projects off my list. It’s one I’ve been thinking about and planning out for over a year and a half. The hard part is that it was in an arena that I’ve never entered before & involved someone who would play an integral part of this project, yet lived 1,000 miles away.

This weekend, however, was a huge step in making this project come to life. SPOILER ALERT!! I’m not telling you what it is in this post. I know, bummer. But I kinda want it to be a surprise. In fact, for now, I’m currently calling it “Threat Level: Midnight.” Some will appreciate the code name. The only reason I’m bringing it up at all now, is because of my excitement over actually making real progress in getting it started. But I Plan, & hope, that it will be ready for debut for the 1st week of march. So it’s only a few weeks away. Hopefully you’ll be able to survive the suspense.

I did post a pic on Instagram & Facebook this weekend that gives a little hint as to what I’m up to. I love the old Legends. Especially the coupes. I couldn’t get over how much bigger my TSX was than this ’94 Legend Coupe. It seemed so much sleeker & refined than the TSX. We are also talking about 10 years difference in every aspect of Acura. Is it just me?

Oh, on a side note, if you ever want to feel morbidly obese, try squeezing your Wide Load Butt out of the back seats of a Legend Coupe. It’s a real self esteem builder…20160206_145516

I’m almost to 485,000 miles, so I’ll be updating the maintenance on that pretty soon. I’m having the vibration issue figured out and fixed this time around. So I’ll let you know what that was. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the front axles. But as you all know, I’ve been wrong before.

As always, thanks for stopping by & be safe out there. I hope I peeked your interest enough to have you stop by in the following weeks to see the finished product.

Catch Ya later.

That’s a nice looking Legend coupe. Pretty well kept, must be a low miler.

Having lots of time to think can be both good and bad 😉

The Tsx is taller than that Legend Coupe. But how do the two cars compare in terms of total length from front to rear bumpers?

    • clymerdude says:

They seemed to me to be about the same length. I’d have to pull up that stats, hold on…
      1994 Legend Coupe L: 192.5″ W:71.3 H:53.7
      2005 TSX L:183.3 W:69.4 H:57.3
well, there ya have it. The Legend is Longer even tho it’s a coupe, lower & wider.
